Re: The airlift pond of Marc and Caroline (built in 1997)

Ok, I understand
Is not ideal, because the water wants to go up, and then falls back .... (this is then a protein foamer)
First a bend, and only then a T-piece for best efficiency

Close at the top, don't do it, air must be able to escape

Re: Horizontal distance From Pond

1 cm over the 3 meters is sufficient

If it goes up to the pond it's good

This for the discharge of air bubbles

Re: Horizontal distance From Pond

3 meters is not a problem if the line has an upward slope of 1cm minimum

Re: Multiple airlifts

Hallo guys,

does anybody use multiple airlifts with just one air pump? Is the output nearly the same on all airlifts?

Best regards,
Frank

Hey Frank,

This is possible, but provided the airlifts on the same depth and with overcapacity of the air pump
If you not meet that condition, and you ...

Re: The pressure chamber, cheap and good

Hi Frank,

I saw your modell with the additional air outlet in the middle. Is this necessary for the best results?

It is a little bit better, but not much

Since the SLL 20 runs out which air pump you could recommend? I think the Hailea 9810 and Secoh JDK20 could be an option.
This summer I ...

Re: The pressure chamber, cheap and good

Hello Frank,

The airlift Membran works well with a heavier air pump, but for the small energy efficient airpump is an additional force needed to open the memebraam, and this force is a disadvantage
An additional disadvantage of the membrane is to be replaced after a few years

The pressure chamber, cheap and good

Good evening,

Here you can find a short tutorial on pressure chambers as I make them, cheap and good
The materials shown here are glued together to form a pressure chamber.

Necessary materials:

1 : 30 cm pvc pipe 110 mm. (In a complete full-size Airlift this would be +-170cm)
2 :Two ...

Re: The airlift pond of Marc and Caroline (built in 1997)

I know it's difficult with the other dimensions, but I look forward to your project

Succeed with the sizes that are available

I like a lot of pictures, if possible
