Re: Introduction of BjornD

Hi Dave, Sorry for the late reaction, because of my work, i'm not as active as before. i will look into it. Do you have a topic where you can put your plan with a drawing. Airlift works best in gravity. Everything on the same level. If you want to have an waterfall then its best to use a pump for th...

Re: BjornD's Pond

i'm planning to place a drumfilter which give me the possibility to increase my flow, reduces bends at the inlet. and keep the water clearer. at the moment i'm building my quarantaine container, with drumfilter which feeds an Eric filter with about 2000l/h and a big airlift. after this i'm gonna cre...

Re: BjornD's Pond

Hi frank,

I don't know exactly. i think my airlift does about 10000 L/hour.
I'm planning to place a drumfilter, so all of my bottomdrains go over the drum. then the crielsieve will be removed.
and all of my airlifts going to work

Re: Kind of output pipe

All three versions are used, version B at the most. i know two ponds with version A, one of them uses three separate airdiscs (membrane) and pumps on one 315mm riser pipe.he has a stainless plate, where the pipe is going thru, but just a few cm's, when he turns on his lift, the water flows back over...

Re: Airlift above water level

when you want a flow of 5000 L/hour with a discharge head of 2 metres, then another design of the pressure lift is needed.

we normally use 110mm or 4 inch pipes and when we need more overhead we decrease this size towards 3 or even 2 inch.

It isn't a exact science, mostly DIY.

Re: Airlift above water level

Hello Fernanda,

With airlift it is possible to raise above waterlevel, but this will be only a few cm's or inches.
when you decrease the size of the riser pipe, then you are able to lift water above the waterlevel, but this is still a low amount.

what amount of water you're thinking about?

I updated my first post with some pictures of my pond and filtration.

This is not how it looks like now, because it's a work in process at the moment.

Re: Introduction of BjornD

I,ve contacted the developer, his reaction about my questions are. They use the air to decrease the size of the debris. so the amount of holes and the size of it, are not important for his line of duty. but a very important thing, following his idea is the fact to drill the holes in a 45 degree angl...

Re: Introduction of BjornD

I've played a little with the app.
what i found strange, is the size of the airholes and the number of them.

the app needs more variables, e.g. hole diameter
but this is a start, i try to contact the developer.

Re: Introduction of BjornD

Hi Spirulina, Sorry that my reaction took a while, but my work took a lot of time. my air injection of most airlifts i build is a 20mm PVC tube, when i use heavier pumps (> 60 Liter/min), then the size will increase to 25mm with a max. of 32mm. I saw the app, but need to install it, i never used it ...
