What do you think about smaller air pumps in parallel?

Air pumps in parallel
Re: Air pumps in parallel
Hey Frank,
To me it seems like multiple smaller pumps will always give better efficiency than one large pump. As measured in our tests. I don't think you can overcome this difference with any of the airlift types we know of. If I were building a pond where I would need a flow of 45000L per hour for example, I would always use three small pumps with three airlifts instead of one big one with one large membrane airlift.
Do you have a different experience?

Thanks, that is my result too.

Re: Air pumps in parallel
It seems like everyone recommends one air pump per airlift. Why is that?
I already have a larger air pump, so I was think of splitting the output to 2 airlifts.
Thanks
