distance of collector from filter

I am currently in the design phase of a new villa and a 100m3 koi pond. Obviously for the amount of water i need to move airlift is the most economical way to go.
From what i have read and seen so far for most efficient position for the collector is close to the pond so the discharge line is very short.
In my situation the filter will be a long way from the pond i intend to use 2 airlifts my question is does it matter how long the feed pipe (110mm) is from the collector?

Best would be zero mm.
